The Emerson House

Residential Program for Women, Pregnant and Post-Partum Women

Located in historic West Falmouth, Emerson house offers extended care and residential living for women. The length of stay is individually determined, with an average stay of 60 to 90 days for adult women, and 6 months to 1 year for pregnant or post-partum women.

Services include individual counseling, group therapy, educational sessions, fitness and meditation, special issues group, art therapy, fitness, equine facilitated learning, and a variety of other resources designed to develop recovery skills that support re-integration with a patient’s family, social and work environment.

Pregnant women and mothers with infants reside in a home adjacent to the Main House.  The program coordinates prenatal, delivery, and well baby services with area physicians. We support the mother and infants by creating a healthy beginning with access to care, early intervention, parenting support, and education.
