Gosnold Treatment Center is a 50-bed medical stabilization and detoxification unit where patients receive medically monitored withdrawal treatment. Gosnold uses a variety of medications to treat withdrawal to minimize discomfort and avert complications. Care is managed by our clinical team of physicians, nurses, counselors and recovery aides—all trained and practiced in addiction treatment.

During detoxification patients undergo a psycho-social assessment to identify treatment needs. Individual and group counseling, addiction education, and an introduction to twelve-step programs help patients better understand the nature and severity of their addiction.

Medical Detoxification and Stabilization (4-8 days)

Gosnold at Cataumet

Rehabilitation for adult men and women (3-5 weeks)

Gosnold at Cataumet is a 40-bed inpatient program including a full complement of therapeutic services including individual and group counseling, addiction education, twelve step introduction, fitness and nutrition, yoga and meditation, medical care, a family program and recovery member services.  Psychiatric and psychological services and anti-craving medications are provided when dictated by the patient’s symptoms.  Our clinical staff will assess patient’s progress and make recommendations for the next level of care.

Recovery is greatly enhanced when families understand the illness and learn how they can care for themselves and be supportive of the patient’s recovery.  Families participate in weekly education sessions, family counseling, and family continuing care options.  This program aims to expand self-awareness, identify family dynamics and improve communication skills.
